Meet Nugget, a 2 year old Lab/Hound Cross

Have you ever in your life seen a Hound/Lab cross? This passive boy caught my eye over the past couple of weeks during my regular visits to the shelter. He is a gorgeous mix. The Lab body with spots!

The nice people at the shelter called when Nugget came down on the euthanasia list. California Animal Rescue stepped in and saved this silly boy.

Nugget likes to smile at you when you sweet talk him. All you see is gums and teeth, perhaps intimidating to some, but it's actually very endearing. Nugget is submissive and prefers to go with the flow. He does well with other dogs and has not shown a interest in cats.

This boy is house trained, listens when you tell him to lie down, sits for treats, and comes when called. When he tries to be naughty, a shake of the water bottle is all it takes. This guy is a submissive dog that really just wants to please his owner(s). Although he cannot fit in your lap, he still puts his head and neck in your lap and gives you that smile. You just can't help but love him.

Nugget would love to live with another dog, or maybe someone that runs. Oh, and he likes car rides, too.

Nugget will be available for viewing at our adoption event from 12-3 on Sunday at the Santa Rosa Petco. He is also available for private meetings.

Nugget has been examined by a veterinarian and received a clean bill of health. He is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations (including rabies).

This is a great dog!
