Meet Santa's Little Helper, aka Little One. Little One was found
roaming as a stray and rescued from an overcrowded shelter where he
was going to be euthanized. California Animal Rescue stepped up and
saved this nice boy.

Little One is the perfect size house dog. This basenji mix weighs
around 20 pounds and stands around 15" high. Although if you look at
his body, he looks like a big dog!

When I first brought this dog into my house, he could not sit still
for the first two days. It was probably why he didn't get adopted. The
shelter environment affects dogs in different ways.

Within a few days, Little One began to calm down, and within a couple
weeks he has become a dream dog. This guy likes affection, gives
kisses, and plays well with my other dogs. He does like to bark at my
cat.

Little One enjoys sneaking on the bed at night and sleeping with his
people. He is a great nap buddy, quiet and still. This boy comes on
command, has learned to sit for treats, and recently has begun to jump
4 feet up into my arms. He also appears to be house trained (we
haven't had any accidents with him).

Little One is neutered, micro-chipped, and current on vaccinations
(including rabies). He will be available for viewing this Sunday from
12-3 at the Santa Rosa Petco.
